Sisyphus was in Greek mythology a King that cheated death and fooled the gods…he was punished by the gods for his treachery to push a giant cursed boulder up a mountain for all eternity…just as the boulder crested the top Sisyphus would slip, lose control of the boulder, and it would roll down the mountain. Art is a never-ending struggle to create and recreate. A folly is a foolish endeavor, excessively costly, unprofitable undertaking, or in architectural terms is a false building or façade that has no practical use and is excessively decorative.
