Verbal - Visual Puns

Nail Clipper
What drives me in this series of artwork is delivering a verbal - visual pun. An Image that is informed by it's title and vise versa. Sometimes the title come first and inspires an image, while other times it is an image or subject that directs the title.

While the humorous"One liner" approach can be gotten in an instance, many of the pieces are subtle metaphors referencing serious issues in my art making or life.

This method of creation has infused itself into many different artworks. The
Verbal - Visual Pun has predicated and inspired the creation of many of my installation works, like The Knockout Artist and Pencil Pusher Pushing Pencils.
